Life Cycle Support for Collaborative Engineering and Operation of Virtual Enterprises

چکیده

Current information technology for virtual enterprise modeling, computational simulation, process enactment and cooperation support is fragmented. Our integration strategy is based on a dynamic process-centric enterprise model that is presented and manipulated as component-based cooperative hypermedia. The resulting system, XCHIPS, is accessible on the Web and provides life-cycle cooperative engineering support for visual modeling, computational simulation, and enactment of processcentric enterprise models. A use case is presented to highlight the needs and to show how such needs are addressed with our approach.
